About Us

A Historic Founding

Established in 2025, The Aggie Standard serves as Texas A&M University's leading conservative student newspaper dedicated to promoting journalistic integrity and traditional values.

The Story Behind the Symbols

The Aggie Standard is positively inspired by the historical achievements of Texas A&M and the fundamental principles of the American nation. Consequently, we sought to incorporate these distinct aspects of our culture into a symbol we could forever take pride in.

The Eagle

The eagle displayed mirrors the seals of our national government and represents our enduring service to the United States of America.

Star & Stripes

The thirteen-stripe shield reflects an appreciation for America's early colonial heritage, including the profound leadership of our Founding Fathers. Similarly, the lone star above and center is an undeniable homage to our great state of Texas.

Pen & Sword

A classic fountain pen crossed by a traditional cavalry saber serves as stark reminder of the power of journalism (the pen is mightier than the sword!) and Texas A&M University's legendary military history, rooted in the legacy of our Corp of Cadets.
